The twentieth anniversary of the founding of the Serene Principality of Serendip will be celebrated this year on our National Day, September 9th.

The Serene Principality of Serendip was founded by HSH David on September 9, 1992 when he made the mental leap joining together his interest in artistamps and micro-nations.  The Principality was born!  That the Principality has survived off line and online for 20 years is something to marvel at.  It is also something to be celebrated.

The PrinceBishop, HSH David, has directed that the 20th anniversary be marked and commemorated with a party, the issuance of appropriate postage stamps and perhaps some indiscriminate elevation of commoners to the aristocracy, complete with titles.  The Office of The Paradox will be developing these directives over the next few weeks.  More information to follow.  Consider this a kind of “save the date” notice.
