Serendip Gov’t Website Launched

July 19, 2012 in OoTP, Press Release by princebishop

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: July 19, 2012

Time: 10:30am

On July 18th, HSH David, PrinceBishop of the Serene Principality of Serendip announced the official launch of the Principality’s Government website.  His Serenity’s statement reads, in full:

Greetings and Salutations. For those that haven’t already visited it, and for those that have, the official website for the Serene Principality of Serendip is this day officially launched. Which means that it is finally in a state which is not terminally embarrassing. Most recently we have corrected the dates in our history. It’s amazing how one’s mind slips as one ages.

Our major areas of focus for the rest of 2012 will be the Royal Post, issuing stamps, and the Royal University of Serendip. SerendipityU will be conferring honorary doctorates in Arts + Letters, Science + Technology, Oenology (wine), and Theology. Nominations for candidates will be open to the public. Nominations will open in October.

The website has been operating since the first week of July.  But yesterday’s announcement marks its official launch.  HSH David hopes that the website will be a source of information and resource for the curious, for the people of Serendip, and friends of the Principality. As the Principality takes it’s rightful, prominent position on the world’s stage, it is important that the Principality, Office of The Paradox, and Orthodox Church of Serendip have appropriate representation on the world wide web.

The website can be found at www.principalityofserendip.org.
