HSH David the PrinceBishop of the Serene Principality of Serendip wished the people of Singapore a Happy National Day.  August 9th marks the day of Singapore’s 1965 independence from Malaysia.

“Tomorrow, August 9th, is the National Day for the people of Singapore. I extend to them the best wishes of the people of Serendip for a safe, prosperous and peaceful year upcoming. While we will not be able to attend the Parading or view the fire works displays, we are confident that these events will be spectacular.”

“Singapore’s status as an independent City-State with a long and distinguished history is inspirational for the people of the Serene Principality of Serendip. We hope one day to achieve a similar independence,” said HSH David.
