This morning HSH David, PrinceBishop of the Serene Principality of Serendip wished President Barak Obama and the citizens of the United States of America a Happy Independence Day.

“On this, the anniversary of your founding two hundred thirty six years ago, the Royal House and citizens of the Serene Principality of Serendip wish our neighbors to the North, South, East and West of us a very happy Independence Day,” said His Serenity.  He went on to say that without the example of American Politics he would never have been inspired to found an absolute monarchy.  ”They were an example of sorts and an inspiration to me personally,” he said.

The Royal House has a busy day of international appearances today.  The entire Royal Family has been invited to an Independence Day celebratory garden party this afternoon in Alameda, California, a short journey from the Principality.  Later in the evening HSH David and the Duke of Emery will be attending a viewing of the fireworks from Emeryville, CA, at a bayside home not far from the Principality’s territory in the Emeryville area.  A good time is expected at both these international event.  The PrinceBishop and Duke of Emery are expected to return to the Principality this evening.
